Alessio Princic was born in Udine on 9 March 1958 and graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana in 1982 with a thesis entitled Tipologija in identiteta Slapnicka (Typology and identity of the village of Slapnicco), which was awarded the Prešeren for students. From 1983 to 1992 he collaborated with Architect Federico Marconi in Udine and Architect Pier Guido Fagnoni in Florence, in the meantime gaining his master’s degree in Venice. In 1990 he opened his own studio in Udine. From 2008 to 2016 he taught at the Faculty of Architecture in Maribor, where he held the chairs of Studio 1 and Smart, and since 2016 he has been a full professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana. He participates in numerous national and international design workshops and lectures at the Universities of Milan, Trento, Ljubljana, Trieste and Venice. Since 1992 his projects have been exhibited in group and solo exhibitions.
