Carlo Piemonte

Originally from Medeuzza in the Province of Udine, Carlo Piemonte has developed his professional career in the regional and national context, contributing significantly to the innovation and valorisation of the Made in Italy system, with a particular focus on the design and wood-furniture sectors as well as on the wood forestry supply chains.

A graduate in Law with a specialisation in European and international law from the University of Trieste, he has developed transversal skills in the strategic management of clusters and the promotion of Italian production chains on global markets, holding significant leadership roles, including General Manager of the Cluster Legno Arredo Casa FVG, President of Legno Servizi Cluster Forestale del FVG, CEO of the International Center of Italian Design, Technical Advisor of the Direzione Foreste ed Economia della Montagna at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, and most recently, Director of the Cluster Nazionale Italia Foresta based in Rome. In these positions, he has led initiatives to support regulatory processes, technology transfer, sustainable development and innovation, working with regional, national and European institutions.

A member of the Coordination Group for the National Bioeconomy at the Council Presidency and of the Working Group of the Circular Bio-Based Europe Joint Undertaking, he has contributed to the definition of national strategies in the forestry sector and in the field of the Bioeconomy. At the same time, he has built an extensive network of international relations for the promotion of Italian-made products, thanks also to the operational management of offices abroad (Shanghai, Singapore, Moscow and Chengdu) for projects promoting Italian design and furniture.

Speaker and moderator at numerous international conferences, guest lecturer at several Italian and international universities, Carlo Piemonte combines a deep knowledge of the Italian manufacturing sector with a global strategic vision for the support and growth of Italian companies abroad.
